Neendoor Grama Panchayat – Projects Implemented During 2024–25

During the 2024–25 financial year, Neendoor Grama Panchayat successfully implemented numerous projects across various sectors, including agricultural development, animal husbandry, healthcare, housing, social welfare, women’s empowerment, sanitation and waste management, and Scheduled Caste development.

1. Agricultural Sector

Various projects were implemented with the objective of increasing agricultural production and improving the income of farmers.

  • Promotion of vegetable cultivation.

  • Haritha Samriddhi farming groups.

  • Beekeeping project.

  • Homestead farming for women.

  • Distribution of vegetable seedlings.

  • Agricultural development under the Subhiksha Kerala Programme.

  • Distribution of paddy seeds to paddy field collectives.

  • Distribution of grow bags.

  • Bringing fallow land under cultivation.

2. Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development

Various projects were implemented to ensure livelihood security for rural families.

  • Calf-rearing project.

  • Distribution of mineral mixture supplements for cattle.

  • Distribution of egg-laying hens.

  • Milk subsidy for dairy farmers.

  • Support for the maintenance of milch cows.

  • Purchase of medicines and equipment for the Veterinary Hospital.

3. Healthcare Sector

Several projects were implemented to protect public health and improve healthcare services.

  • Operational expenses of the Family Health Centre (FHC).

  • Purchase of medicines.

  • Palliative care programme.

  • Medical assistance for extremely poor patients.

  • Anaemia prevention programme for adolescent girls.

  • Purchase of medicines for Ayurvedic healthcare centres.

  • Elderly healthcare programme.

  • Purchase of medicines for the Homoeo Dispensary.

4. Housing and Infrastructure Development

Various housing projects were implemented to ensure safe and secure housing for economically disadvantaged families.

  • LIFE Mission Housing Scheme.

  • House repair and maintenance.

  • Housing assistance for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families.

  • Housing renovation for persons with disabilities.

  • Construction of toilets.

  • Construction of household sanitation facilities.

5. Sanitation and Waste Management

Significant initiatives were implemented in the field of waste management with the objective of creating a clean and sustainable village.

  • Distribution of facilities for biodegradable waste management.

  • Support for the activities of the Haritha Karma Sena.

  • Purchase of trolleys for the Haritha Karma Sena.

  • Establishment of permanent waste management systems.

  • Distribution of waste bins to institutions.

  • Haritha Kerala awareness programmes.

6. Social Welfare and Women’s Empowerment

Various projects were implemented with the objectives of promoting social justice and empowering women.

  • Vocational training for women.

  • Support for self-employment initiatives.

  • Women Component Plan projects.

  • Handicraft training for women.

  • Vocational training for mothers of persons with disabilities.

  • Educational assistance for students from extremely poor families.

7. Child Development and Education

Several projects were implemented to promote the overall development of children and improve educational opportunities.

  • Operational expenses of Anganwadis.

  • Nutritional support for Anganwadi children.

  • Furniture for Anganwadis.

  • Children’s arts festival.

  • Special projects for children with disabilities.

  • Educational support programmes.

8. Scheduled Caste – Scheduled Tribe Development

Special projects were implemented to promote the social and economic advancement of disadvantaged communities.

  • LIFE Mission SC/ST Housing Scheme.

  • House renovation.

  • Construction of toilets for Scheduled Caste families.

  • Educational assistance for Scheduled Caste students.

  • Special welfare programmes.
